Richard is a Partner at Sax LLP and leads the firm’s State and Local Tax (SALT) Service Group. He brings more than 30 years of experience dedicated exclusively to state and local tax matters.

Richard advises clients on a wide variety of state and local tax issues, including personal and business matters, tax planning, and tax compliance. He also represents clients in state and local tax audits, tax appeals, and tax exposure mitigation (including voluntary disclosures).

Prior to joining Sax, Richard worked at accounting and law firms ranging from regional powerhouses to the Big 4.  He has advised and represented clients, including national, international and local businesses, high net worth individuals, including C-Suite level executives, artists, celebrities, lawyers, investment bankers, hedge fund managers, and more.
