Michael Schall is a Partner at Sax and joined the firm in 2023 through the merger with Schall & Ashenfarb, CPA’s where he served as an Audit Partner and Director of Tax Services for Exempt Organizations. With over 20 years of experience, Mike leads the New York division of Sax’s Nonprofit Practice and is responsible for overseeing audits and reviewing IRS Form 990 and state filings for clients. His client base includes non-profit organizations in a variety of fields: health and welfare organizations, arts and cultural institutions, theatres, and educational organizations including charter schools and camps.

Mike serves on and is a recent past chair of the New York State Society of CPA’s Exempt Organizations committee. He also sits on the NYSSCPA’s Not-for Profit Organizations committee and previously served on the NYSSCPA’s Tax Oversight committee. He volunteers his time with several charitable organizations and serves as audit chair and secretary for a NYC based non-profit transitional housing organization. He has also appeared as a speaker for Nonprofit New York (formerly the Nonprofit Coordinating Committee of New York) and the NYS Charities Bureau.
