Joe is a Partner in Sax’s Nonprofit Practice and joined the firm in 2023 through the merger with Schall and Ashenfarb, CPA’s, where he served as a Principal and member of their Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. Joe is responsible for coordinating and conducting audits of nonprofits including, but not limited to, social service organizations, membership organizations, arts and culture institutions, schools, and grant-making foundations.

In his 18 years of experience, Joe has developed long term relationships with his clients as he’s advised them on accounting principles, best practices, and ways to improve their internal controls. He has also presented on industry matters for various organizations, including the NYS Charities Bureau, United Neighborhood Houses of New York, and in-house presentations for the staff of nonprofit organizations.

Outside of work, Joe serves as a board advisor for a social service organization and other small nonprofits.

Joe is a Certified Public Accountant in New York.
