Eric Meisner is a Partner at Sax and leads the firm’s Fractional Finance Practice, which extends CFO outsourcing services and advisory to clients. He embarked on his professional journey as a staff auditor at Deloitte. His career path led him to Viacom’s SEC Reporting team, where he played a pivotal role in the acquisitions of Paramount and Blockbuster integration processes. Following this, Eric was recruited by AT&T, where he managed the $23 billion consolidation of the Consumer Division.
During the internet boom, Eric gained valuable experience during his tenure at Priceline WebHouse Club, sparking his enduring passion for startups and small enterprises. His next endeavor saw him assume the role of Controller at CitationShares, a fractional airline startup, contributing significantly to their revenue growth, which ultimately reached an impressive $300 million. Taking on the role of CFO for the first time, he undertook the challenge of helping a technology-driven media company navigate rapid expansion, establishing a robust financial infrastructure, and automating their billing procedures.
It was through these diverse experiences that Eric recognized the widespread need for companies to access CFO expertise without the burden of a full-time hire. In 2016, he founded Fractional Finance, a firm dedicated to collaborating with businesses to achieve their financial objectives on a part-time basis, offering a cost-effective alternative to hiring a full-time CFO. Eric has assembled a team of top-tier professionals to ensure that every client benefits from a robust financial infrastructure.
Eric holds an MBA in Financial Management from Iona College and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts. Beyond his professional pursuits, he is a lacrosse enthusiast and player, and he holds season tickets for the New York Giants.
