Apr 14 Tax Alert: New Jersey Filing Date Extended
The New Jersey Legislature passed a bill yesterday, April 13, that would extend the tax filing and payment deadline for returns that are due on April 15, 2020. Governor Murphy announced that he will sign the bill today.
What has been extended?
- 2019 Forms:
- NJ 1040
- NJ 1041
- NJ CBT–100
- NJ CBT–100S
- NJ 1065
- NJ CBT–1065
- Partnership filing fees
- 1st quarter 2020 estimated tax payments
What has not been extended?
- Sales and Use tax returns
- Payroll tax returns
- 2nd quarter 2020 estimated tax payments
The New Jersey Division of Taxation updated its website late last evening and a complete list of returns and payments that have been extended can be found here.
