About

Lauren joined SAX in 2022 as the Director of Strategic Business Transformation, where she will lend her 35 years of experience to provide consultative services to nonprofits in all areas and for all levels of an organization. This includes but is not limited to Board Development, Governance, Leadership, Fundraising, Programs, Strategic Planning, Disaster Management, and team building.

In her role at Sax, Lauren will take a comprehensive approach to supporting organizations in the nonprofit sector to develop goals and objectives to improve overall functioning and processes. In addition, she will provide Leadership Transition and Coaching, as well as customized workshops and seminars that meet the unique needs of each organization.

Lauren started and established a 32-year career in the disability arena with The Arc of Somerset County (NJ). Over those three decades, Lauren held a variety of positions that gave her a wide breadth and depth of experience and opportunities to hone her leadership skills. By working in various capacities and rising through the ranks to ultimately Executive Director, Lauren is in the unique position to understand the nuances of all levels of an organization. Through her leadership, Lauren drove her organization to numerous awards and accolades for outstanding work as an advocacy organization.

Lauren is an experienced fundraiser and has expertise in building community relationships and cultivating mutually beneficial relationships with corporate and business partners. She leans into her leadership and influence to positively impact the outcomes for nonprofit organizations. She focuses on creating a productive and efficient work environment for employees and works to empower team members to use their collective and individual energies to pursue their organization’s mission and vision.

Lauren’s leadership, passion, and dedication to the individuals she serves have been acknowledged through various accolades and awards at both the local and state level. This includes Professional of the Year (The Arc of Somerset County), The Martin Papish Award for Outstanding Service (The Arc of NJ) and The Executive Excellence Award (The Arc of NJ). Lauren has also worked as an Adjunct Professor at Raritan Valley Community College in the Humanities Department.
