Throughout his career, Jeff has shown a tremendous amount of dedication to his clients and continues to be their #1 advisor. Jeff has accomplished so much in his career at Sax, including receiving his CPA license, earning major promotions and even meeting his lovely wife at the firm!
Throughout the rest of his career, Jeff wants to continue to service his clients and be their go-to guy with any concerns, while still improving his skillsets and knowledge every day. Read our Q&A to learn more about Jeff:
What college did you attend? What was your major?
I attended Montclair State College before it became a University, where I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
Do you have any credentials?
I received my CPA license four years after graduating college.
When did you start working at Sax?
I accepted my first full time job offer at Sax right after graduating college in 1988.
What is your current title?
I am a Senior Manager.
What are your day-to-day responsibilities at Sax? What do you specialize in?
My day-to-day responsibilities involve taking care of my clients’ needs, whether it be tax related or not. My main responsibility is to guide my clients in the right direction, and I will continue to do that throughout my career. When I first started here at Sax, I was exposed to all areas related to tax, so I consider myself a go-to-guy for anyone’s tax needs.
What are a few things you have learned here?
Something I have been saying for years about Sax is that this is a great place to work. The firm has experts in all areas of tax and accounting, which is extremely helpful. Everyone here works together as a team and is willing to help each other out.
Explain some of your biggest achievements while working at Sax.
I met my wonderful wife, Cheryl, of over 25 years at Sax, which has been my biggest achievement of them all! Another big achievement of mine was being promoted from Supervisor to Senior Manager because of my dedication to my clients.
Explain some of your biggest achievements in life.
I raised two wonderful kids with my wife, who are now both young adults and achieving their own goals. I’m so proud of their accomplishments and I’m so happy they have remained so close to each other.
Do you have a vision or goal for your career?
I love what I do and want to continue to service my clients to the best of my abilities, while continuing to strengthen my skillsets and become an even better advisor.
What volunteer work and/or charities do you participate in?
Both of my kids were a part of the high school marching band, so I was heavily involved in the Band Parents Association. Although they both graduated, I’m looking forward to remaining involved in the coming years because I enjoy it so much. I am also the Recording Secretary and on the Board of Trustees for the Ocean Beach Surf Club – Unit One. Because of my involvement in the club, when I’m down the shore I walk by the beach and clean up the garbage.
Are there any other interesting facts about you outside of your work life?
Outside of work, I enjoy visiting breweries and tasting different beers. My wife and I have visited 35 different ones in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. During the summer, one of my favorite things to do is walk along the beach and watch the sunrise.
