Jan 20 EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT: MEET OUR NEW CLASS
Albion Derguti
Albion joined Sax as an A&A Associate. He attended York College of Pennsylvania where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a minor in Finance and is in the process of obtaining his CPA license.
Albion has greatly enjoyed his experience at Sax thus far, and believes the firm provides great opportunities to continue with his professional development and has already learned a lot from the firm’s internal trainings.
He wants to learn as much as he can as an A&A Associate, in order to build a strong foundation that will allow him to move up the ranks of the firm throughout his career.
Outside of work, Albion loves to watch and play soccer and is a huge Chelsea fan. He likes to stay active outside of work, and enjoys playing basketball, soccer, riding his bike, going on hikes, and going skiing during the winter.
Jesus Narvaez
Jesus joined Sax as an A&A Associate. He attended William Paterson University where he received his Bachelor’s in Accounting and his MBA in Finance. Jesus is currently studying for his CPA exam.
So far, Jesus has enjoyed the welcoming environment that Sax facilitates. He also likes how knowledgeable everyone at the firm is and how they are willing to share that knowledge to help himself and the other associates. Jesus aspires to earn his CPA license and work through the ranks of the firm to hopefully become a Partner in the future.
On a personal note, Jesus lived in Cuba for a year while serving in the Army. In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer, hiking, and going to the shooting range.
Ryan Fidlow
Ryan joined Sax as an A&A Associate. He attended SUNY Oneonta where he received his Bachelor’s in Accounting.
Ryan has enjoyed his time at Sax so far and appreciates how helpful and approachable everyone at the firm is. Throughout his career, he plans to earn his CPA license and work his way up the ranks to become a Partner of the firm.
In his free time, Ryan loves to travel and has been to several places, including Europe, Hawaii, Mexico, and the Bahamas. Outside of work, he enjoys playing baseball, watching football, snowboarding and skiing, and any water related activities such as Flow Riding or just being at the beach in general.
Christopher J. Kaminski (CJ)
CJ joined Sax as an A&A Associate. He received his Bachelor’s in Accounting degree from Syracuse University in May of 2019 and his Master of Accountancy from Rutgers University this past August. CJ is currently studying for his CPA exam and hopes to earn his license by the end of 2021.
CJ was an Administration Intern for Sax’s Empire Office before the pandemic and was offered to come back full time. He has enjoyed learning the ins and outs of auditing and helping to plan for the upcoming busy season. After earning his CPA, he would like to work through the ranks of the firm and contribute as much as he can while continuing to learn all there is to know about auditing.
In his free time, CJ enjoys watching movies and has multiple streaming services to access the most titles.
Diana Djuric
Diana joined Sax as an A&A Associate. She received her Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting from Ramapo College and is currently studying for her CPA exam. Diana has enjoyed her experience at Sax so far but is disappointed that COVID-19 has impacted her ability to meet more people.
She wants to become an expert in whatever niche she works in and looks forward to gaining knowledge and experience while supporting her teams. Diana stands behind Sax’s focus on being our clients’ #1 advisor and believes that is exactly in line with how she sees herself in the future.
Diana loves the challenge of puzzles and won the grand prize in The New York Times’ annual Puzzle Mania a couple of years ago. She also enjoys playing tennis, bike riding, traveling, and trying new foods.
Patrick DellaPenna
Patrick joined Sax as an A&A Associate. He attended Ramapo College and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. He has enjoyed his time at the firm so far and appreciates how helpful everyone is. Patrick also enjoys the company’s culture and the overall energy within the firm.
Patrick wants to continue to expand his knowledge by earning his CPA license and possibly his MBA to better himself and better serve the firm.
Outside of work, Patrick is a big sports fan and enjoys watching the Knicks, Yankees, and the Tennessee Titans. He occasionally does stand-up comedy and has performed at Gotham Comedy Club, Broadway Comedy Club and a few others.
Justine Elia
Justine joined Sax as an A&A Associate. She graduated Montclair State University with her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
Justine has enjoyed her time at the firm so far. Starting her accounting career during a pandemic has presented some unique challenges but the Sax team has been so helpful in getting the new hires acclimated. She mentioned that the people at Sax have made her feel welcome and it’s great to have so many people offer their support.
She is the youngest of 3 and her family immigrated from Syria right before she was born. Her two older sisters pursued medical careers and she is the only accountant in her extended family. Outside of work, Justine enjoys playing tennis and hiking when it’s nice out. When it gets colder outside, she prefers puzzles or Sudoku while staying indoors.
John Lee
John joined Sax as an A&A Associate. He graduated Rutgers University with his Bachelor’s in Accounting and Master’s in Financial Accounting.
John has enjoyed his time at the firm so far and appreciates how helpful everyone is. He does not have any specific career goals yet but wants to continue to expand his knowledge as much as possible.
In his spare time, John enjoys physical activities and the outdoors.
